With the Victoria’s Secret fashion show just a few short months away, the lingerie brand has spent the last two weeks casting and confirming models before revealing the show’s location yesterday.
Set to take place in Shanghai for the first time in its history, Victoria’s Secret will again be staged somewhere other than the brand’s New York home.
Having held the majority of its runways in the big apple, the annual extravaganzas have previously been held in LA and once in Cannes (2000), before taking to London in 2014 and Paris last year.
But while location and musical performances (the latter of which is yet to be confirmed) are a cause of annual anticipation, there is one aspect of the Victoria’s Secret fashion show that is all the more eagerly awaited each year; the models.
The cast of models chosen to walk each show is speculated for months, with rumours circulating of old models being rejected and new models being welcomed from the minute the previous show ends.
Having held its castings last week, the lingerie brand has been confirming models for the last few days with a number of big names set to return to the runway.
Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2017 – the castings

Of its previous walkers, the likes of Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Jasmine Tookes, and Stella Maxwell are confirmed to return, while Behati Prinsloo and Candice Swanepoel also regain places having stepped away from the catwalk for 2016 to each have their babies.
Among the new faces this year are Grace Bol, Frida Aasen, Victoria Lee, Xin Xie, Alexina Graha, and Estelle Chen.
Sisters and social media sensations Gigi and Bella Hadid are also returning to the catwalk, while good friend Kendall Jenner is yet to be confirmed.
