Football Weekly: Barcelona write themselves into history

index

Well, gang, it’s the final Football Weekly of the season, and AC Jimbo has Barry Glendenning, Paolo Bandini and John Ashdown choking back the tears, and Sid Lowe on the phone providing the hankies.

We start of course in Berlin where Barcelona won their second treble and fourth Champions League trophy in a decade. Does that make Luis Enrique Pep 2.0 or is he actually the new Roberto Di Matteo? And what of Juventus – who will be staying at, retiring from or leaving the Old Lady? Questions, listeners, questions …

Next, we speak to our newest friend, Caroline Barker, about the opening weekend of the Women’s World Cup in Canada.

And finally, we gaze into our crystal balls to make a few bald-faced predictions for the 2015-16 season.

It’s been a blast and thank you for being along for the ride once again. We’ll be putting out some special treats over the summer, so keep refreshing your iTunes feed and all that gubbins.

And if you’re quick, you can still get yourself a ticket for this very excellent (but Jimbo-free) Guardian Fifa debate.
