Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in making a summer swoop for Gent starlet Jonathan David, according to reports.
The 20-year-old forward has been on the radar of the Premier League rivals this season.
And both United and the Gunners are monitoring his situation and have made initial approaches to his agent Nick Mavromaras, according to HLN.
Belgian outfit Gent are reportedly keen to keep hold of the Canada international and no offer has put on the table.
The youngster put United and Arsenal on red alert earlier this season when he expressed his desire to move to England’s top flight.
‘I want to become one of the best strikers in the world. That’s my goal,’ David told The Guardian.
‘The Premier League is the best in the world and most competitive so obviously that is somewhere I would love to play in the future.’
David has impressed this campaign, notching 23 goals and providing 10 assists in 40 appearances.
Gent finished as runners-up to Club Brugge in the Belgian First Division A after the 2019-20 season was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
